If we talk about Africa one thing the first word that comes in our mind is “ADVENTURE”. Africa offers the wide variety of all sorts of adventure. One who is really fond of adventures and is never been to Africa then its something in adventure he is missing. Africa is land of every adventure. It’s a land of variety in diversity. From diving, mountain climbing, trekking, white water rafting all sorts of adventures are available in Africa. Most adventurous sport in Africa is “safari travel”. Let us try and explore Africa in a more dynamic way and get to know about what options does it have for adventure travel.
In South Africa, Kruger National Park is one of the finest game reserves. Visitors who are interested in safari traveling are drawn towards Kalahari Gemsbok national park. It extends towards the Kalahari Desert; Kalahari gemsbok is an area of wide open vistas, rugged beauty, shifting dunes and great herd of springbok.
KRUGER NATIONAL PARK:
Kruger national park is one of the most interesting places in Africa and is rated as one of the world’s finest game reserves. Kruger is more a home to wild species than any other game park in the continent. Cheetahs, lions and leopard roam here freely with substantial number of elephants, rhino, zebras, giraffe in fact a wide variety of wildlife can be seen easily in this park. It is also an excellent destination of birdwatcher. It offers a scarcely believable diversity of species. Though no night activities are permitted here but it is best for wildlife safari. Nights here are like living in an artificial jungle. Abundance of land is available to enhance opportunities for safari visits.
KALAHARI NATIONAL PARK:
It is situated in the southern extremity of one of the greatest desert- the Kalahari. There is absence of lush green vegetation but the wildlife here is quite impressive. Wildebeest, eland, herds of gemsbok and springbok can be seen here. But Kalahari wildlife attracts another visitor- the Kalahari lion. Visitors on their safaris have to forgo their luxurious accommodation of the surrounding parks. Kalahari can be a destination of grandeur unparallel.
ORANGE RIVER:
Those who are fond of canoeing Orange River is the best destination for them. It originates in the Lesotho highlands. It is just right for the canoe safaris because its wide and gentle, with just enough rapid to make the heart beat faster.
CAMEL SAFARI:
When one hear of camels the thing that exactly stuck our mind is “desert”. And it is increasingly becoming one of the most important safaris in South Africa. South Africa provides two unique environments for camel safari. The Kalahari and the Bushmanland Kalahari is more of a duned landscape and bushmanland is a semi arid. Both the regions provide a good land in game.
There is one more thing that is included in adventure of Africa is white shark cage diving, walking safaris, bungee jumping , camel trekking, mountaineering, diving ,desert safaris ,biking and much more. Safaris in Africa can be covered on the back of horse, camel, bicycle etc.
“Fun never ends in the sun city” in fact adventure never ends in the Sun City. Those who are really crazy about the adventure then Africa is ALL IN ONE destination to be. Wildlife, beauty, vegetation is all seen here in abundance so to have fun Africa is a best place to be.
So go and enjoy the Sun City’s adventure filled life and you can have a memorable time with your loved ones and friends and have some adventure all along.

I have a 6 year old quarter horse gelding who was retired from the race track 2 years ago. I plan to make him a game horse. One game requires him to jump 12 to 18 inch hurdle so I started training him to jump. sometimes he jumps very well and other times he just runs right through it. any help to get him to jump consistantly would be appreciated.
he’s very big (16.5 hh, 1200 pound) so I’ve also thought of using him as a jumper. he runs barrels and poles great it’s just the jump.
If you’re wondering I’m a very experienced rider (have ridden race horses) and have trained horses (went to state in horse training for 4-H last year) so don’t hold any training tactics back.
*sorry I must have pushed the wrong number and thanks for correcting me he’s 16. 3 hands
I am lunging him over the jumps. have been for a month. I have yet to try to ride him over the jumps
I think you need to build him slowly. Truly, a horse isn’t going to learn to jump something with a rider on his back just by lunging or free jumping. If you’ve been lunging him over one jump for a month or so,. it’s well time you got on his back and started him over jumps the correct way — riding him over groundpoles at the trot, first, then graduating to canter.
Once that is successful, raise the ground poles (if you have cavallettis or can make one, these are excellent training tools) to a heigh of 6-8" and trot him over these. Use more than 1 pole/cavaletti, give him gymnastics to work over. Eventually you can graduate to cantering over small jumps.
Retaining a Qh race horse is no different that retraining any other horse that’s never jumped – do it slow, do it right – and they will learn. Gymnastics are a far too underused way of teaching a horse to jump – but they build so much of the horse’s abilities & confidence & training. It seems like the obvious option to just run him up to a jump and let him fly over it (which is all you are doing when lunging him), but this method will create a horse who has no respect or understanding for the jump, and will crash through it, or bolt over it from too far away. Teaching slowly, under saddle, over small obstacles will build him up, and will teach him correctly long term, instead of doing the wrong way and you’ll just end up having to back and do it correctly in the future.
Probably my most favorite single workout is a circuit training routine I do at home in my garage. Although itâs a bit dirty in there, it is a large space and I have a nice set up with a weight bench, squat rack with lat machine, dumbbell rack, and a 70 pound heavy bag.Â
The routine I perform is excellent in that it combines strength training with aerobic conditioning. I combine the moves and forms I learned while training in the art of Pai Lum Kung Fu, with more typical weight lifting and calisthenics. It is easy to substitute the Kung Fu forms with any type of aerobic type exercise, such as jumping rope.
My workout also hits all of the major muscle groups, which is important for golfers, because the golf swing incorporates all of the major muscle groups. However, I should note that most of the exercises focus on the legs, the most important muscles for generating power in your golf swing. The other important benefit to golfers from this routine is that it helps to improve your endurance and it will help shed pounds without doing any high impact aerobic moves. This will help the golfer maintain performance as well at the end of the around as at the beginning.
When I perform this routine, I perform 12 to 15 repetitions for each exercise (except for Kung Fu Stances â which are held for 1 minute).   I select a weight that is about 70% of the maximum amount of weight I can lift for one rep.Â
 Here is a sample routine:
Warm Up â Jump Rope for 5 minutes, then light stretching
1. Jump Rope â 60 seconds 2. Bench Press â 3. Leg Extension 4. Kung Fu Form 1 or Jump Rope 60 seconds 5. Heavy Bag â 60 seconds â Hands only 6. Dumbbell Shoulder Press 7. Horse Stance â 60 seconds 8. Kung Fu Form 2 or Jump Rope 60 seconds 9. Heavy Bag â 60 seconds â Kicking only 10. Lat Pulldown 11. Step back lunge with dumbbells 12. Kung Fu Form 3 or Jump Rope 60 seconds 13. Heavy Bag â 60 seconds â Hands and Feet 14. Dumbbell Chest Flies 15. Leg Extension 16. Kung Fu Form 4 or Jump Rope 60 seconds 17. Heavy Bag â 60 seconds â Hands Only 18. Seated Cable Row 19. Monkey Stance â 60 seconds 20. Kung Fu Form 5 or Jump Rope 60 seconds 21. Heavy Bag â 60 seconds â Kicking 22. Dumbbell Shoulder Flies 23. Charging Horse Stance 24. Kung Fu Form 6 or Jump Rope 60 seconds 25. Heavy Bag â 60 seconds â Hands and Feet
You should note that there is no essentially no rest in between exercises, this keeps the heart rate up through the entire workout. This particular routine takes about 30 minutes to complete after the warm up.Â
Depending upon how much time I have, I will do a workout that lasts anywhere from 30 to 60 minutes. There is a myriad of exercises you can include in this type of workout, and many you can perform without having any equipment.Â
You will note that this particular circuit routine does not include any exercises that work on your core muscles such as the lower back and abdominals. I prefer to work these muscles in a separate routine after my circuit workout. However, you can certainly include these in any circuit routine.Â
During your off-season training, a good circuit routine should be an important of your program to improve your golf game. The benefits of a good circuit routine are truly significant to the golfer, as it will improve strength in all of the important muscle groups while at the same time it will improve your overall endurance. If you perform this routine three days per week and combine it with a proper diet, you will also have the added benefit of weight loss if needed.Â
Remember, even though the weather may be cold in your part of the world, you can still improve your golf game!
